In Japanese, chopsticks are called hashi. Japanese chopsticks are shorter than Chinese sticks, and they also taper to a more pointed end. Japanese chopsticks are traditionally made of wood and are lacquered.
This pair of wooden chopsticks are inspired by the woodblock prints of Katsushika Hokusai, Japan's best known artist. The chopstick ends are illustrated with a picture of the "Great Wave".
