Clearspring Wakame grows in the cold, clear waters off the Sanriku coast.
For centuries the people of this remote area have been harvesting Wakame in early spring. Cut by hand, it is then washed and carefully dried to preserve its delicate flavour.

Wakame's mild flavour and soft texture make it one of the most popular of sea vegetables.
To prepare, simply soak in lukewarm water for 10-15 mins. Wakame is delicious in soups (particularly miso soup) and salads or as a side dish with tofu.
